Visit from Chairman of Gateway Group, a premier educational organisation in Sri Lanka

Gateway, an organisation established by the former Secretary of Education of Sri Lanka, the late Mr R.I.T. Alles, is a provider of high quality international education and training programmes, from primary through to higher education, and has built a reputation of being one of the largest and most trusted educational organisations in Sri Lanka.

Dr Alles met with Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Paul Croney, and Pro Vice-Chancellor International, Dr David Bell, to discuss the University’s forthcoming partnership with Teesside University.

Dr Alles also enjoyed a tour of the University’s teaching and learning facilities, and held discussions with the Deans of the Business School, School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Law, and the Academic Registrar.

Dr Alles said ‘This is my first visit to Teesside University. I am highly impressed by the campus facilities and the innovative outlook of the university. At Gateway, we are excited about the prospect of establishing a strategic partnership with Teesside University to introduce high quality degree programmes to our students in Sri Lanka.’

Dr David Bell said ‘It was a pleasure to welcome to Dr Alles to Teesside University and to further progress our partnership plans. We look forward to launching Teesside University degrees in Sri Lanka through Gateway’s network in the near future’.
