Animex 2004

Animex, Middlesbrough's celebration of the world of animation returns in January 2004.

Featuring appearances by stars of the animation industry, special screenings, animation created by University of Teesside students, school children and community groups from across the region, animation projected onto the sides of buildings and the results of the inaugural Animex International Student Animation Awards.

Special guest speakers and other details will be announced throughout the year.

Previous guests at ANIMEX have included Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, Ray Harryhausen, stop motion pioneer behind the special effects in Jason & the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans, Phil Tippett, Oscar winning animator on the original Star Wars films and Jurassic Park and Jason Schleifer, lead animator for The Lord of The Rings films.
