Games day added to Animex

29 October 2003

Calling all computer gamers - Animex, Middlesbrough’s celebration of animation organised by the University of Teesside and Middlesbrough Council, is adding a dedicated games day to its ever growing line up

Tuesday 27 January will see the first Animex Game - a day packed with games art, design and animation. Animex Game will feature leading figures and games firms delivering some breathtaking demonstrations.

Chris Williams, festival director and Principal Lecturer in animation at the University of Teesside, said: “Adding a dedicated games day to Animex has been part of the development plans we have had for the festival for some time. We are talking to a number of highly respected figures in the industry and look forward to announcing an incredibly interesting line up of speakers and company representatives very soon.

“Animex has built a great reputation for bringing some of the leading figures in the world of animation to Teesside, and I’m sure that Animex Game will build on this success.”

Other events at Animex include:
