Teesside signs up with Shanghai

A new collaborative arrangement between the University of Teesside’s School of Computing and the University of Shanghai’s Multi-Media Centre will be signed at the University of Teesside on Tuesday 24 August at 12.30pm. The memorandum of understanding will be signed by Graham Henderson, University of Teesside Vice-Chancellor, and Wang Min, University of Shanghai Vice-Chancellor. The memorandum will establish several collaborative initiatives between the two Universities, including:

Vocational training Shanghai students enrolling on post-graduate courses at Teesside Supervision of PhD students in Shanghai Joint scientific research Exchanges of academic staff

Clive Fencott, Senior Lecturer in Computing at the University, said: “The University of Shanghai is one of the most prestigious universities in China. Collaborating with them on teaching and research developments will open up a huge range of opportunities for Teesside. The support of ONE NorthEast was instrumental in reaching this agreement.”
