Bill Greenwood, Senior Careers Adviser said: “The range of opportunities on offer reflects the diverse graduate market today. Among our visitors, we’ll be welcoming firms with an international presence like the Kerry Group and Cummins Engineering, together with representatives from local and national Government departments. There’ll be recruiters, too, from areas including Science, Health and Education. This is a major event in the University’s Careers calendar and we’ll be expecting more than 1000 Teesside students and graduates on the day. Visitors from other universities are also welcome to attend.”
The quality of the University Careers Service’s work was recently recognised at the first matrix excellence awards ceremony in London where the Service received a Highly Commended award.
Bill Greenwood added: “There are now over 1000 organisations accredited under the matrix standard for information, advice and guidance services. Around 80 applied to have their work considered for excellence awards – only 13 made it through two rounds of judging to receive awards. Our students can be confident that they’re being supported in their career planning by a quality service.”
