Explore a world of careers

31 October 2005

Want to find out about careers in computer games, business, health, the armed forces and public service - to name but a few? Then come to the University of Teesside’s Careers Fair on Friday 4 November 2005, 10.00am - 3.00pm.

The event, held in the Brittan Building Sports Hall and Main Hall, is open to all current higher education students and graduates from all universities. Representatives from a variety of different companies, industries and employment sectors will attend. Information about further study opportunities will also be available.

Guests at the Careers Fair can:

  • speak to employers in an informal setting
  • find out about different careers
  • compare companies in the same sector
  • discover how companies differ
  • make direct enquiries about training schemes and placement opportunities
  • collect information and new ideas.

Alexandra Wright, Careers Information Officer at the University’s Student Services Department, said: “This event is a great opportunity for people to find out more about careers they are interested in and have a talk with potential employers. It's a good idea to bring copies of an up-to-date CV and dress as they would for an interview. You never know - the first person they talk to may end up paying their salary!”

Booking is not required.
