Required: Video volunteers for health campaign

Are you pregnant and aged 16-25? Have you recently quit smoking or reduced your cigarette intake? If the answers are YES, then the University of Teesside's School of Health and the Teesside Health Action Zone (HAZ) would like to invite you to appear in a quit smoking video; to tell your story.

The University and HAZ are producing a video to encourage young pregnant women aged between 16 and 25 to quit smoking. They need volunteers in this age group who have quit smoking or reduced their intake, to appear in a video, which will be filmed locally. Midwives in Redcar, East Cleveland and Middlesbrough, will use the completed video as part of a quit smoking campaign, targeting young pregnant women.

Dr Marian McDonald, Principal Lecturer in the University's Post-Graduate Institute for Health, said: "Volunteers can help other pregnant women in the region who want to quit smoking or are in the process of doing so. We want the volunteers to share their experiences in quitting or reducing smoking. The women need to be in the early to mid-stages of pregnancy." Travel expenses will be paid.
