Child Poverty was the focus of Professor Martin Narey’s public lecture – he argues there is an urgent economic and moral case to eradicate child poverty on Teesside and in the wider UK.

Middlesbrough born Professor Narey is Chief Executive of Barnardo’s and chairs the End Child Poverty Coalition. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University in 2007.
