Professor van Schaik is a psychologist whose research on human-computer interaction goes back more than 25 years. He was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2008.
His lecture is entitled The Human in Human-Computer Interaction. Professor van Schaik will draw on examples from his own research and the work of others in his lecture, which can be heard from 6.30pm to 7.45pm on Wednesday 10 June in the University’s Centuria Building, off Wilton Street, Middlesbrough.
Professor van Schaik’s lecture will conclude this year’s Public Lectures at the University, which are free and open to all.
