Accommodation at Teesside

23 February 2011

If you’re choosing to study at Teesside starting in September 2011 you will be thinking about where you are going to live.

We have affordable, good quality accommodation on campus or just at short walk away.

A new application process available soon Currently we are putting a new application system in process and will send applicants information on how to apply as soon as it is ready.

We have 724 places in University managed halls, houses or flats on campus plus 400 places in University managed housing in the private sector - all within easy walking distance of University facilities.

All our University property on campus offers study bedrooms, a communal kitchen and diner, shower rooms and toilets. Most rooms are single but some shared rooms are available.

All the houses are centrally heated and heating costs are included in the rent. Each residence has its own team of wardens who live on site. They are trained to deal with issues and provide support outside normal working hours.

University managed housing in the private sector In our University managed housing in the private sector we rent property directly from a landlord and then sublet the accommodation to our students. This means we make sure that standards in these properties are high which gives you more protection. Burglar alarms and hard-wired smoke detectors are standard.

We advise all students planning to come to Teesside University to contact our friendly team of accommodation staff. They can advise you on suitable properties and help you find good quality accommodation.
