Easter themed auction and fundraising

29 March 2011

A fundraising e-auction has been launched to raise funds for the University’s It Started With A Gift…..Scholarship Fund.

Among the range of items on offer is a waistcoat by Savile Row tailor and Teesside graduate Patrick Joseph, a signed Middlesbrough Football Club shirt, a large Vanilla Lime Yankee candle and a limited number of pairs of tickets to see Middlesbrough’s own legendary Paul Rodgers live in concert on April 18 at the Metro Radio Newcastle Arena.

This is a blind auction and the highest unique bid for each item received before the deadline of 5pm on Friday 8 April will win. There are no restrictions on how many bids you can make and how many items you can bid for. Winners will be announced at 4pm on Monday 11 April.

To bid for the items, just email your bid to gift@tees.ac.uk. Include the item you’re bidding for in the subject line.

In addition, there’s also a chance for University staff to win a selection of special prizes in an Easter raffle planned in Marketing & Student Recruitment (M&SR).

Raffle tickets for the Easter Fun Day will be on sale in the University lounge from 12noon to 2pm on Wednesday 6 April.

Prizes include a meal for four at the Thistle Hotel in Middlesbrough, tickets for the Middlesbrough Football Club fixture on Saturday 16 April and a signed MFC shirt.

There will also be a competition for the best Easter-themed decorated hard-boiled egg and an opportunity to sample and buy a range of culinary delights created by the gifted chefs in Marketing & Student Recruitment. All proceeds will go to the University’s It Started With A Gift…Scholarship Fund.
