Charlotte in the running for more charity sponsors

24 October 2012

A Teesside University staff member who ran the Great North Run is hoping to raise as much as she can for the Butterwick Hospice charity.

Charlotte Poole, an Assistant Administrator in Registry, completed the gruelling 13.1 mile run from Newcastle to South Shields back in September in a personal best of 2 hours 46 minutes and 11 secs.

This year’s Great North Run attracted nearly 40,000 people, and was started by no less than five of Team GB’s Olympic medal-winning heroes, including Mo Farah.

Butterwick Hospice aims to improve the quality of life for those who have a life limiting illness and their families and to help them relate positively to every challenge they may encounter during their illness. Charlotte’s Just Giving page is still open and she is welcoming any donations for a very worthy cause.
