Student conference article appears in journal

A student conference which Teesside University helps to run has been featured in the latest edition of InForm journal.

The International Foundation student conference, run every year alongside Leeds Metropolitan and York St John Universities, takes place in January, with the forthcoming conference taking place at Teesside University on 18 January 2013. International Foundation Year Course Leader, Wendy Altinors, explained: 'The conference provides an opportunity for the International Foundation students to experience an academic student conference and deliver presentations, developing their academic language and communication skills to help them with progressing onto undergraduate degrees at British universities. They are also able to network with peers across three northern universities.'

The article, which can be found on pages 11-12 of InForm issue ten, was a follow-up to a presentation given at an InForm conference held at Newcastle University in July. InForm is a journal of teaching and learning-related good practice for members of the academic community associated with International Foundation Programmes (IFPs).
