Student’s work on national display

01 August 2013

The work of a Teesside University student has been on display at Sotheby’s, London

Sam Magill’s animation ‘Lifespan’, was awarded second place in this year’s competition to create motion graphics, ran by the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.

The competition, which was first launched in 2011, is open to students studying illustration, graphic design, animation and photography, with cash prizes for first, second and third place.

Students entering the competition were asked to submit one item of their own original work, which could span across various media including photography, illustration, design or animation and had to be two dimensional.

Sam’s winning piece explored his interpretation of time and the human form.
