Exhibition to showcase students’ creativity

14 September 2014

Visionary, sensitive and provocative works by postgraduate students will be showcased in a creative and inspirational exhibition open to the public at Teesside University.

The exhibition, DADA 2014, showcases a range of work by MA Future Design, MA Fine Art and MA Digital Arts and Design students. DADA, the University’s Digital Arts & Design Academy, is the collective name for the three postgraduate courses in the School of Arts & Media. Students completing each programme are encouraged to explore adventurous work in a diversity of forms and directions, while taking an interactive approach to learning. Exhibitors are from as far afield as China, Norway, Spain, Lebanon, Pakistan, Malaysia, Cyprus and UK, each revealing a diverse intercultural mix of creative work.

On display will be installation pieces using discarded materials from abandoned buildings, products made from materials of historical and cultural significance, mobile app designs, limited edition artists’ books and innovative proposals for buildings and campaigns.

The exhibition is installed in two buildings, the University’s Athena and Constantine and is open to the public from 10.00am to 4.00pm on September 18, 19, 22, 23 and 24.
