Performed by senior lecturer Lorraine Smith and fellow collaborators Annie O'Donnell and Peter Heselton, the show was commissioned by Stellar Projects and Middlesbrough Council and took place as part of the Nightfall event, a ‘magical evening’ dedicated to the science of stars.
Teesside University School of Design, Culture & the Arts student, Kayleigh O’Connor acted as assistant choreographer whilst student Bethany Brownless was filming/editor on the project.
Senior lecturer in dance, Lorraine Smith said: ‘It has been a fantastic experience collaborating with local artists on such a unique project, which has allowed us to share and push our practices into new directions. It has also been a great opportunity for Kayleigh and Beth to take on professional roles in the project, allowing them to gain vital industry experience that will boost their CVs and employability in and beyond the world of dance.’
