Field of study:
You get university-level study in a range of exciting and interesting subjects. Many are designed for if you want to return to study after a break from education. A course will boost your confidence and help you develop the skills you need for further study here at Teesside. When you have accumulated 20 credits you are awarded a University Certificate in Continuing Education.
How to apply
Choose the course you're interested in and select the 'apply online' button. To receive a paper application form call 01642 342291. If you are accepted we will write to confirm your place and send enrolment instructions. We give priority to those who don't already hold a higher education equivalent-level qualification and/or are not currently enrolled on a university programme.
Support for students
At Spring University you have full access to books, including borrowing rights, and computers in our state-of-the-art Library. Other support facilities include academic support in the Drop-In Student Skills Centre and personal counselling.
You may be eligible for means-tested support towards course-related costs, for example
books and travel from the Access to Learning Fund. You also have to meet other eligibility criteria - one is that the Spring University course must be your first university or higher education course. Further information is available from our Student Funding Team:

Changes to courses
Teesside University reserves the right to change the advertised programme without notice. Running or continuing any course or class depends on having enough students enrolled and attending.
Note If you are 16 years of age or under, you are required to have a responsible adult to act in the capacity of a parent (in loco parentis) and attend classes with you. This designated adult may also be required to undergo a Criminal Record Bureau check.
*Fees will be paid by Teesside University’s Widening Participation Scholarship Fund.
