Centuria South, our £17m sport and health sciences building. The showpiece dental education and sports therapy complex provides a state-of-the-art learning environment for students studying dental nursing and technology and sports therapy.

A £10m investment in the Athena Building has provided this fantastic undergraduate teaching facility which has 4,000 square metres of studio space. High quality facilities include a newsroom, broadcast news studios, multimedia publishing studios and computing suites.
In the Phoenix Building is the Institute of Digital Innovation (IDI) – a premier location for digital media and technology. It builds on our internationally recognised work in animation, computer games design, digital film and sound, visualisation and virtual reality.
Our £6.5m centre for sport in the Olympia Building has a large range of facilities available to all students, including the sports hall, squash courts and floodlit all-weather Astroturf pitch.
Student Services in the Student Centre provides a range of support services for anyone who needs information, advice or guidance. You can get help on a range of issues from applications, admissions and finance to careers and counselling.
Health and social care students benefit from state-of-the-art resources in the Centuria Building. It includes large lecture theatres and extensive seminar rooms, spacious teaching accommodation and open-access information technology labs.
The Innovation Building is the £10m home of the School of Science & Technology. It houses engineering labs, a unique vehicle forensic examination laboratory, eight computing labs and advanced motion-capture facilities for computing.
In the Cook building there are two large customised design studios and an IT suite for computer-aided design. Workshops for wood, metal, plaster, resin and glass are on the lower floors. And there’s a convergent newsroom for professional training courses for journalists.
Clarendon Building is home to Teesside Business School and the School of Social Sciences & Law. There are specialist teaching facilities, labs, experimental and research rooms and an open access computing laboratory.
The Teesside Centre for Nanotechnology & Microfabrication has developed a clean room facility for research and investigation in the fields of nanotechnology, microfabrication, miniaturised systems such as 'Lab on a chip', micro fluidics, BioMEMS, and photonics.
The School of Computing is host of Animex – a major annual international animation and computer games festival. The University has an international reputation for courses in animation, games and visualisation.
The TV studio is part of our Centre for TV and Media Production. We’ve invested in new facilities such as TV cameras and sound equipment. We also have digital editing facilities and desktop broadcasting technology.
The newly refurbished Constantine Building provides studios for Fine Art students – well lit spaces ideal for painting and sculpture. It includes dedicated exhibition areas. And in the same building is the Northern Region Film and TV Archive.
The Grade II listed Waterhouse Building houses the industrial design workshops as well as teaching and seminar rooms for many subject areas.
Our Centre for Enterprise is a managed venue for business meetings and events. We can develop your organisation through professional consultancy, specialist education and training tailored to your needs.
The University offers a wide range of support, advice and guidance to anyone who wants to start a business. We also offer studios and offices for graduates setting up their own businesses on campus in the Victoria Building.
Our Fitness Centre is a teaching space for sports therapy and home to the sports injury clinic with exercise and rehabilitation equipment.
