2012 survey

The 2012 survey is open now to postgraduate taught students at Teesside.

Student participation in PTES is valuable to the University in helping to enhance the Postgraduate Taught Experience at Teesside.

To complete the survey

Eligible students will be sent a link to their University email account and will need to enter their Username (Library card number, the letter must be entered as a capital letter, for example A1234567) and password which is date of birth as an eight digit number (1st June 1980 would be entered as 01061980).

2011 survey

The 2011 Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey was carried out at Teesside between March and May 2011.

What you told us

• Postgraduate taught students at Teesside were happy with their course and teaching and learning provision, 87% were happy with the overall experience of their course.
• 82% said the quality of learning and teaching had been met or exceeded their expectations.
• Students rated our library resources and information technology resources highly, with 93% stating library resources met or exceeded expectations, outperforming the sector average.
• In addition 89% said that their career and professional development expectations had been met or exceeded their expectations and 92% stated that their skills and personal development expectations had been met or had been exceeded.

Areas where we could make improvements

We are working hard to ensure that Organisation and Management is enhanced in order to provide the best possible experience for our postgraduate taught students.

Based on your feedback, the University has developed a dedicated postgraduate learning lounge 'The Corner'. With a refreshment area, Wi-Fi and flexible study seating, it is the perfect environment for both independent and group study and networking.
