Atle is a third year DProf student about to start his research into postgraduate Inter Professional Learning titled: A Social Constructionist research evaluation exploring Inter Professional Learning using Fourth Generation Evaluation.
Atle qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1980 and has since worked in both public and private sectors in the UK and abroad. He has a BSc (Hons) in Professional Studies in Health Care from Teesside and an MBA from Sunderland University.
Before his appointment as consultant in 2003, he managed the physiotherapy service for Newcastle Primary Care Trust from 1997-2003. As part of the NHS modernisation agenda, Atle has taken a lead moving Orthopaedics into Primary Care and improving patient pathways. This includes professional development and workforce planning.
