Public health
The applied research and innovation in Public Health focuses on the translation and application of research evidence into practice and policy and is pursued, in part, through our collaboration with FUSE, the Centre for Translational Research in Public Health, a UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) funded Public Health Centre of Excellence.
More about FUSE
Particular interests of researchers in the Teesside group focus around children and young people's health, oral public health, public health aspects of end of life care and measurement of physical activity. The public health strand also has a strong interest in evaluation of public health interventions and this is pursued through CHASE (Centre for Health and Social Evaluation).
More about CHASE
The Centre is a collaborating partner in FUSE, the UKCRC's North East Centre of Excellence for Translational Research in Public Health. This major consortium comprises the five universities in the North East of England.
We bring together researchers with high quality experience in sociology, psychology, nursing, public health, health informatics, statistics and research design, and exercise science.
