Dr Prakash joined Teesside University as a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering in 2015. Some of his taught module includes:- Turbomachinery, Aero engines & Rocket Science, Aerospace Materials & Analysis, Heat Transfer, Analytical Techniques for Engineers, Finite Element Methods and Engineering Design & CAD. 

He completed his MSc from University of Glasgow in Space System Engineering where he looked at various space systems and satellite missions. Having completed a PhD on Advanced Environmentally Friendly Jet Engines at Cranfield University, Dr Prakash developed a model to predict NOx and CO emission for a novel aero engine combustor. Dr Prakash is a member and reviewer in American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and a member of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and has presented and published at the conference proceedings of the same.

Research interests

Dr Prakash's main area of research is Gas Turbine Combustion, Aircraft Emission Reduction, Space Systems and Heat Transfer.
