About Maher Al-Greer

I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Newcastle University, UK, MSc in Computer Engineering and BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering both from IRAQ. Before joining the Teesside University in August 2017 as a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in Electrical Power Engineering in the School of Science, Engineering and Design, I was a Post-Doc (Research Associate) in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Newcastle University, UK and still a Guest Member of Staff.

PhD and research opportunities

Currently, Co-supervisor for 5 PhD students in the area of: Fault and health monitoring of SiC and IGBT devices in the application of power systems, Adaptive control of LCL single phase grid power system, System identification and adaptive control of multi-rail power converters and Battery Modelling/ Degradation.

 

Currently, I am doing research to develop an advanced signal processing algorithms and digital control techniques in Battery System Modelling/Degradation, Reliability of Power Devices and Intelligent Control of Power Converters. Therefore, I am looking for talented and self-motivated researchers to work on this research profile. If you are interested, don’t hesitate to contact me.
