Social Futures Institute
After graduating from the University of East London with a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology, Mark, gained an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan and a PhD titled 'Perception-action coupling in goal-directed locomotion' from the University of Hull. He previously worked at Thames Valley University before joining Teesside University in 2008.
Mark is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and has provided consultancy services for a wide range of sports organisations and athletes.
Dr Chen’s research interests include psychological consequences of sports injury and attentional aspects of sports performance. He would welcome applications from PhD students in these areas.
