Social Sciences, Business & Law research
Dr Noola Griffiths is a psychologist working in the applied psychology of music. She has a BMus, MA Psychology of Music and PhD in the psychology of performance from the University of Sheffield.
Noola is interested in audiovisual perceptions of music performance. Her current research activity focuses on understanding the relative importance of audio and visual information in evaluations of performance. Past research has examined the role of female soloists’ concert dress in classical performance, and the development of absolute pitch in children.
Noola's administrative duties as the Research Fellow for Research Policy and REF include managing the administration and preparation of REF submissions across the School of Social Sciences Business and Law.
Noola is a visiting lecturer in the Applied Psychology of Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.
