About Lisa Briggs

Lisa joined the Graduate Research School in 2008 as Assistant Research Support Officer prior to her current role as Research Development and Impact Officer in 2011. She attended St Cuthbert’s Society, Durham between 2004 and 2008 and holds a BA (Hons) degree in Education and MA in Research Methods, both from Durham University.

Roles and responsibilities in Graduate Research School include:

•pre and post-award support for national and international research grant funding
•administration of the University Research Fund
•support for international academic visitors
•support for Research Excellence Framework (REF) preparations
•dissemination and communication of research opportunities and outputs
•support for the Research Institutes including coordination of the Teesside University Research Network and the Annual Research Conference

Lisa is a member of the Association of Research Managers and Administrators UK (ARMA) and one of the University’s European Liaison Officers for the UK Research Office (UKRO).
