About Lorraine Smeltzer

Lorraine is the Research Administrator within the Graduate Research School.

Lorraine’s main duties are:
• administrative support for a range of research-related committees
• postgraduate research student enquiries
• administration of degree applications, offers and student records
• administrative support for research degree examinations
• administrative support for research events and training
• PA cover to the Dean of the Graduate Research School.

Previously working for Middlesbrough Football Club in the Community for eight years, Lorraine progressed from an Administration Assistant through to Quality Assurance Co-ordinator before joining the University in 2009, primarily as a Personal Assistant.

Lorraine has completed her NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration in 2001 along with various other training in computing, admin and quality procedures.
