CLEMANCE offers the following programmes and resources.

• Industrial symbiosis programme - companies cooperate to use each other’s by-products including materials, energy and process water, to maximise the value extracted from those resources while minimising flows to and from the environment.
• Sustainable technology programme - provides heavily subsidised clean technology support to companies with the aim of making them more competitive.
• Environmental biotechnology programme – offers specialist expertise in: restoration/reclamation of degraded/chemically contaminated soils and sediments by microbial intervention; landfill; domestic/industrial wastewater treatment; water purification sludge exploitation; anaerobic digestion; environmental impact assessment; GIS; and malodorant/toxic gas biofiltration.
• Environmental technology transfer club - brings together the public and private sectors to discuss environmental issues.
