BSc, MSc, PhD, PGDip Mngmnt;  PGCE, MIChemE, MSPE.

Dr Ahmed is currently on sabbatical.

Dr Hussain Ahmed is a highly qualified and well experienced Petroleum Engineer in Production; Reservoir; & EOR. He is internationally recognised as a Training Consultant in Petroleum Technology and has over 30 years of experience in oilfields; training; consultancy; lecturing and research in petroleum technology.

BSc in Petroleum Engineering, University of Baghdad
MSc in Oil & Gas Production, University of Strathclyde
PhD in Hydraulic Fracturing of oil/gas reservoir, Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh
PGCE in FE/HE Education, University of Manchester Metropolitan
PG Dip in Management, University of Liverpool
BTEC certificate in Training, BTEC Network
FENTO certificate in Basic Skills And Key skills Fento – York

Awards:
1998 won Halton College honour award 
2000, nominated for tutor award NW England (DfEE) 
2003, received the medal for excellence and City & Guilds tutor award
2006; MBE award by her majesty the Queen on the New Year Honours List for “Services to Education & Training in the UK and Overseas”
