We are part of Sports Universities North East England (SUNEE), which creates volunteering opportunities in the community.

SUNEE is a partnership between us and the Universities of Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria and Sunderland, which aims to transform the delivery of sport and physical activity across the region.

We work with a variety of different local community groups, schools and organisations to make sport more accessible for hard to reach groups, raise the aspirations of young talented children in sport and give you the opportunity to volunteer in a wide variety of settings.
