The role of the ombuds office is to ensure that you receive fair and impartial advice in matters relating to any issues or concerns which you may experience during your time at the University.
Its main functions are:
- advising and co-ordinating the assessment review process for both taught programme components and higher degrees by research
- administrating and providing assistance relating to the students complaints procedure
- administrating the review process of the academic misconduct regulations (taught components and programmes) and mitigating circumstances regulations (taught components and programmes)
- Co-ordinating the fees and charges panel.
The ombuds office is also responsible for the publication of the University student handbooks and student protocol.
The ombuds office will also endeavour to provide answers to questions you may have regarding University policies and procedures, and can provide you with full copies on request.
