Student volunteers bring festive cheer
Pensioners from across Middlesbrough were invited to a festive party organised by Teesside University’s volunteer team Volun-tees.
Guests for the Christmas party were invited from community groups and residential care homes across the town.
The volunteer team arranged entertainment and food for the guests, with music and entertainment provided by students, along with a special performance by the choir from Breckon Hill Primary School.
Volun-tees helps to support students, staff and recent graduates seeking to volunteer in the local community.
Jayne Golden, Volunteer Co-ordinator, said: 'The party guests had a great time socialising and being entertained by the students and choir who sang in a special performance.'
