Your learning toolkit

Teesside University’s Future Facing Learning toolkit

The toolkit is used inside and outside the classroom to support you in preparing for professional life.

This academic year we have implemented a Future Facing Learning toolkit to support and enhance your learning experience at Teesside University. The toolkit applications are freely available to Teesside students. You can use all toolkit apps on any compatible device – mobile, tablet or desktop - both on and off campus.

Microsoft Office 365
This is at the heart of the toolkit – particularly Microsoft Teams which is a collaborative working space that allows you to develop skills that will benefit your career – teamwork, project management, digital literacy.

More apps
Some of the apps, such as Socrative and Padlet, are specifically included to help you actively engage in your learning experience, enabling you to check your understanding, ask questions and provide feedback quickly and easily.

MyTU
You also have access to the MyTU, the Teesside University student portal which provides vital information on your studies – email, calendar, campus map, PC finder, library loans, print credit – and our virtual learning environment, Blackboard.
