Have you thought about topping your existing qualification up to a full degree?
With an extra year of study, you can gain a BA (Hons) Applied Accounting and develop knowledge of a wide range of business and management theories, specialising in finance. You also develop financial management skills within a wider business context.
You build on the knowledge gained in your previous studies, but with greater emphasis on critical thinking and your ability to plan and manage your own work.
What you study
The final year builds upon the knowledge you have already gained in your previous studies. You explore more advanced topics within the areas of business and finance, and there is a greater emphasis upon critical thinking and your ability to plan and manage your own learning as an individual and as part of a group. You also undertake a research project.
How you learn
Modules are taught via lectures, seminars, practical workshops and group work. Teaching staff also adopt a range of web-based technologies to deliver module and programme content, assess, provide feedback and communicate with students.
How you are assessed
The programme is assessed via a variety of methods including assignments, examinations, group work, presentations and live practical projects.
Career opportunities
Graduates from this programme will be well placed to find employment in a wide range of business, management and administrative jobs both in the UK and overseas.
Entry requirements
You need a foundation degree, higher national diploma or equivalent qualification in a finance-related subject. When applying through UCAS, make sure that you indicate your point of entry as Year 3.
