Course overview

This course provides you with an understanding of both financial and management accounting. You learn to appreciate the impact and decisions on cost base and the profitability of a business.

This course will be delivered online. Please check the entry requirements tab before making your application to ensure you meet the entry criteria and have all the minimum equipment necessary to take part.

Starts Monday 18 January, Mondays for eight weeks, 6.00pm-9.00pm.

This course will be delivered via a combination of live sessions using Microsoft Teams, pre-recorded sessions. All learning materials and recrodings will be uploaded to our online learning platform, Blackboard.

You can study up to 30 credits at Winter University and you can select up to three modules on the same application form. If you would like to add a module later, or change one of your choices, then please let us know by emailing winter.university@tees.ac.uk.

Age restrictionDue to the content and delivery of this course, it is advised that applicants are aged 16 at the time of enrolment. All applicants under the age of 18 at the time of enrolment must provide a completed parental consent form. How you are assessed

One Blackboard online assessment: to produce an informal report between 1,000 – 1,500 words (excluding appendices) in a professional style which evaluates and analyses the performance of a selected UK listed company, comparing it with an appropriate comparable company.

 
 

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

As this is an online course it is necessary that you have access to a computer and that you are comfortable learning via an online platform. A strong and stable internet connection is required, and a webcam and microphone will allow you to participate in any interactive elements of the course.

International applicants must have an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher.
