Course overview

You explore core artificial intelligence (AI) and data science concepts and tools, focusing on real-life scenarios with practical exposure to relevant software. You cover various topics such as preparing and working with data, data analysis, data visualisation, and problem solving with AI.

You learn through weekly pre-recorded content and tasks that you can work through at your own pace, supported by live lectures delivered through Microsoft Teams. Your learning materials are available on the University's online learning platform, Blackboard.

Group A - Starts Monday 7 June, Mondays and Wednesdays for four weeks, 6.00pm - 9.00pm (NOW FULL)
Group B - Starts Monday 5 July, Mondays and Wednesdays for four weeks, 6.00pm - 9.00pm

How you are assessed

100% in course assessment on a pass/fail basis.

You submit a portfolio containing research and practical work, demonstrating an understanding of AI and data science knowledge and skills. A full brief is provided at the start of the course.

 
 

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

As this is an online course you need access to a computer and be comfortable learning through an online platform. A strong and stable internet connection is required, and a webcam and microphone to participate in any interactive elements of the course.

International applicants must have an IELTS overall score of 5.5 or higher.
