Course overview

This course helps you into the first year of an undergraduate degree at Teesside University that includes level 3 physics as an entry requirement.You study properties of matter, energy, mechanics,electricity and magnetism and thermodynamics. You learn through a combination of lectures and practical laboratory sessions.

Summer University 2019 has now finished. We will be running a range of short courses as part of Winter University in January 2020. Our Winter University 2020 brochure will be available in November - please register your details here if you would like to receive a brochure when it is available.

How you are assessed

Formative Assessment:
Formative assessment will include in-class exercises and online tests whenever possible.

Summative Assessment:
Written examination 100%

GCSE science or equivalent is a prerequisite for this course.
