This practical interactive masterclass is aimed at registered healthcare professionals. It will develop and enhance your knowledge of assessing and managing the venous leg ulceration. After an overview of related understanding theory you have the opportunity to undertake a practical session related to managing venous leg ulceration.

What you study

The masterclass content includes:

  • the causes of leg ulceration
  • associated costs and statistics
  • the anatomy and physiology of the arterial and venous system
  • assessing and diagnosing ulcer aetiology
  • managing leg ulceration through a selection of clinical case studies
  • a pathway for the holistic management of venous leg ulceration
  • developing clinical skills – ABPI, compression therapy and hosiery.

To access a HEE funded place you must be a non-medical employee and your organisation and CWD lead must approve your application for workforce needs before the start of the masterclass.

Self-funding
To access this on a self-funding basis you must pay the fee before the start of the masterclass through the online shop.
