Course overview
People with personality difficulties and disorders have sometimes been excluded from any health or social care services because of their diagnosis. The award has been developed in response to the identified need of clinical staff with respect to working with these groups of people. The award facilitates the promotion and development of the knowledge and confidence needed by clinicians to offer structured care that improves outcomes for people with personality impairment.

You learn through workshops, role-play activities, video demonstrations and self-directed learning. Your learning will be enhanced through e-learning@tees Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) via virtual discussions and blogs.

A case study of an individual service user.

Entry requirements
Applicants should:
- Have registration with a recognised professional body within the health and social care fields
- Be working at band 6 or above
- Be working with a service user with a diagnosis of a personality impairment
