Year 1 core modules
You gain the skills, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to successfully manage projects from initial design through to final evaluation. You work on real-life projects that require both primary and secondary research, data analysis, and the development of actionable conclusions and recommendations for organisations. By engaging with practical, real-world scenarios, you build a strong foundation in project planning, execution, and review –preparing you to lead and contribute effectively to projects in any professional setting.
Contemporary Marketing Practices
Core concepts and essential skills needed to understand how marketing works in practice are explored. You gain a solid foundation in key areas such as market research, segmentation, buyer behaviour, and brand positioning. You focus on the marketing mix of product, price, place, and promotion, and how each element influences marketing strategies and customer engagement. You gain a clear understanding of how marketing decisions are made and how they impact business success in a competitive marketplace.
Key topics include recruitment and employee retention strategies, as well as important considerations around contract termination. You develop a foundational understanding of how effective HRM practices contribute to building strong teams and supporting organisational success.
Financial Accounting and Reporting
You are introduced to the frameworks in which organisations operate and report their financial statements. You have the opportunity to practice preparing statements for a variety of organisational types and learn how to understand and interpret financial statements used by organisations.
Issues in the Contemporary Business Environment
You gain an introduction to the key elements of the business environment, providing the essential foundation for your future studies. You explore a range of organisations and dive into core concepts such as business responsibilities, market forces, stakeholder roles, and the external factors that impact decision-making. You explore different approaches to budgeting and learn how to use variance analysis as a tool for financial control and performance evaluation. Year 2 core modules

Debates and issues stemming from corporate social responsibility and corporate shared value are highlighted and discussed through the lens of recent trends and developments in business practice. You gain knowledge of business laws and examine the impact of the law on business operations and decision-making. You identify legal solutions available to businessowners and assess their suitability.
Digital Marketing and New Technologies
Explore the major developments taking place in new digital marketing technologies, enabling you to develop an understanding of how organisations use various digital tools and techniques to engage their customers and maintain a competitive advantage. Gain the knowledge and tools to work at part of a digital marketing team or to pursue further study. Digital marketing is now a major component of all successful marketing organisations, however with the landscape continually evolving and it is important for marketers to stay ahead of their competitors and deliver cutting-edge digital marketing approaches and strategies.
Economics and International Business Strategy
Explore how national, transnational, and global businesses operate, using both micro and macroeconomic theory as a foundation. You apply economic concepts and policies to past and present events, gaining insight into how they influence the global business landscape. Year 3 core modules
Finance and International Financial Markets

You gain a solid understanding of how financial systems operate within an economy and the role they play in economic stability and growth. The module covers three main areas: the development and functioning of financial markets and institutions; the role of central banks, financial regulation, and monetary and exchange rate policy; and the workings of derivatives markets and risk management strategies. By the end, you have a comprehensive understanding of how financial markets operate and how policy decisions impact the wider economy.
Global Trade and Business Operations
How businesses operate within the broader context of the global economy is examined. You study international trade, the role of multinational enterprises, foreign investment, and the economic growth of emerging markets such as the BRIC nations. You also cover critical global issues like globalisation and environmental policy, helping you understand their impact on business strategy. On the operations side, you learn management techniques that support effective resource allocation and decision-making within organisations. Practical tools and methods are applied to real-world scenarios to deepen your understanding of operational processes in a global context.
New Challenges in Business Management
Complex challenges organisations face in today’s dynamic business environment are explored, including current controversies and dilemmas within the field, gaining insight into how these issues impact decision-making and organisational success. Undergraduate Business Research Methods
Gain the skills and knowledge to design, conduct, and evaluate both qualitative and quantitative research in business contexts. You explore a range of research methodologies including exploratory, descriptive, and causal approaches, and learn how to apply them effectively to real-world business challenges. You develop the ability to identify and define research problems, choose appropriate methods to investigate them, and present your findings in a clear and structured way. By the end of the module, you are confident in using research as a powerful tool to inform business decisions and strategy.
Undergraduate Business Research Project
You foster independent learning and enquiry as you undertake a significant research project in your final year. You select a current and relevant issue related to your course of study and apply systematic research methods to explore it in depth. You produce a comprehensive project of around 12,000 words, demonstrating your ability to critically analyse your chosen topic while integrating knowledge from across your discipline. This module is an excellent opportunity to develop advanced research skills and showcase your expertise in preparation for your career or further study.

Assessment formats include oral presentations, case study and simulation reports, portfolio projects, e-portfolios, business reports, exams, essays, reflective writing, and research projects involving data analysis.

Entry requirements
You must have confirmation of completed high school (secondary school) or previous college education, which may include:
- a Czech high school diploma (maturita)
- two A-level passes
- equivalent education from other countries (assessed individually).
Proof of English proficiency for all international students, demonstrated by one of the following:
- IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
- Versant language exam score equivalent to IELTS 6.0
- TOEFL iBT score of at least 79
- Cambridge FCE (Grade A).
- A letter of motivation (approximately 300 words).
- Final interview—a formal discussion with the applicant to confirm the application process.
