Discover Teesside Science Residential

Stay in the Cornell halls on campus. Each room is a single occupancy, ensuite. Students must bring their own pillow, sleeping bag and towel. Bedding sheets are provided.

You must:
• be a current Year 12 student (in your first year of college) and interested in applying to university
• be aged 16 -18 years of age
• live outside of the Tees Valley area (25 miles away or more)
• are planning, and able, to progress to university in September 2026. Have an interest in studying the subject area at university.

• The residential is completely free of charge, with accommodation, activities, meals and snacks included.
• Travel reimbursements of up to £75 are available towards the cost of getting here. This is paid back after you attend the residential and submit your travel claim to us. Additional information is provided during the residential about this process.
• Students or parents/guardians are responsible for organising travel plans to and from the University.
• This residential is based at the Middlesbrough campus.

You will have the opportunity to take part in social activities like high ropes and canoeing, along with a social evening with various activities like a quiz, karaoke, music. Don’t worry if this isn’t your thing, there are lots of spaces to relax, chat, play board games or watch a film.
