Why Teesside?

I came along to an open day and wasn’t sure if I’d be accepted as I didn't have necessary A levels, but because of my past job experience I was accepted to study crime and investigation.

Tell us about your course?

I loved my course so much, especially the law side. I loved the investigation sessions we had a brilliant tutor.

Did you get along with your peers?

I was the oldest student by far but I made so many friends and most would come to me for advice. We all helped each other, especially with group work.

Tell us about student life and the area?

I was too old for crazy student life but I loved Teesside, it has great shops, places to eat and is only 20 minutes from home.

Need you need any additional support from Uni?

I had an accident and needed to access student support for extra help with facilities. I was classed as a disabled student during my last six months.

What have you done since graduating?

Working as a child sexual exploitation worker but I am hoping to return in October to do a PhD.

Sum up your University experience

I loved every minute, which is why I want to come back.
