Why Teesside University?

I visited the open day for the psychology course and I had some free time, so I thought I would look at some other courses and I ended up in crime and investigation. The lecturers really sold the course to me so I decided to apply.

What did you like about your course?

I loved the hands-on aspect of the course - when we did forensics it felt like we were solving a real case. I really enjoyed learning about fingerprints and how they are used in the investigative process, it was completely unique.

The course really helped me realise what I was passionate about and I even ended up joining the forensic science society. I was also given the opportunity to work as an intern with our Principal Lecturer.

I went on to study MSc Business and Management at the University of Stirling. I now work for Hertfordshire Police as a Crime Officer in the investigation management unit.
