Why Teesside?

After visiting a few different open days, Teesside seemed the most creative and artistic for animation studies.

Best thing about your course?

The people I got to collaborate with, the opportunity to try out different mediums, and Animex, the University’s international festival of animation, VFX and games.

What did you think about the campus, facilities and teaching staff?

They were great, there was such a wide variety of equipment to experiment with. The staff were always encouraging and friendly too.

What are you doing now?

I am currently directing and finishing my first short film, Cat and Moth. As a director I have headed up a crew of over 90 artists worldwide. It has been a collaborative passion project and my first venture into film making.

I’m also an animator at Sony Pictures Imageworks in Canada where I’m working on an unannounced Netflix animated feature film.

Did your time at Teesside help you to achieve your goals?

Yes. I have made life-long connections, and career long ones too. There are some fantastic networking opportunities there and it has led me to where I am now.
