Why Teesside?

I am from the area and I felt it would be the best place for me to study.

Best thing about your course?

The wide variety of subjects allowed me to gain knowledge in different areas.

What did you think about the campus?

The campus is very appealing, and it’s being continuously developed. The facilities are the best I have experienced and the 24 hour library was a great help during my studies. The teaching staff are great, and I gained a lot from them. They helped me through many difficult times and provided the support I needed to succeed.

Did you do any work experience?

Yes, at the family law clinic within the University, I was able to sit with solicitors and listen to the advice they were providing to clients. It boosted my confidence and showed my learning being put into practice.

What are you doing now?

I’m a private client solicitor at Freers Askew Bunting Solicitors in Middlesbrough. I handle lasting power of attorneys, wills, trusts and estate administration.

Did your time at Teesside help you to achieve your goals?

Absolutely, I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t studied at Teesside and gained the knowledge and skills to become a solicitor.

Would you recommend Teesside University?

Definitely. Since graduating, I have attended other universities and Teesside University is the most welcoming, the facilities are amazing, and you feel at home. The dedicated staff go above and beyond to help you succeed.
