The course is really interesting, and I feel like I will be well prepared for my first job.
I wanted to improve my career prospects through retraining. I chose OT because I enjoy being a problem solver, and there are very good employability prospects.
I have really enjoyed modules including human anatomy and function, the splinting sessions and the occupational voice. The lecturers put a lot of effort into the course materials and the delivery. The campus is a lovely place to be, always clean and tidy. The campus heart is a good open space with plenty of seating areas. The Library has a very good stock of textbooks and offer some very helpful services such as tutorials and guides.
I am a member of the OT society. They run a large and varied programme of opportunities and events
Placements are a valuable experience. I have improved my written and oral communication skills and gained confidence at putting myself forward for opportunities.
I would like to work with the Ministry of Defence helping to rehabilitate soldiers back to active service. I would also like to gain more experience of paediatric occupational therapy.
