Why university, and why Teesside?

I wanted to go to university to better myself and to open doors to careers that may not be available to me without a degree. I chose Teesside because I am from Middlesbrough and wanted to stay at home, but also because of the excellent facilities and support available on campus. I completely loved the vibe on campus from the first time I visited.

I’ve been a student ambassador since I started uni – it was one of the first things I did when I enrolled. It’s the best job I’ve ever had. It’s so enjoyable and it’s giving me so many brilliant working experiences. I’ve had the opportunity to work with primary and secondary school pupils, help with celebration events and work with some great brands including Burberry. I also worked at the University’s residential summer school.
