Phoebe is enjoying an excellent range of modules and is complementing her academic study by gaining skills as a student ambassador.
I would 100% recommend Teesside University and also my course.
I wanted to go to university to better myself and to open doors to careers that may not be available to me without a degree. I chose Teesside because I am from Middlesbrough and wanted to stay at home, but also because of the excellent facilities and support available on campus. I completely loved the vibe on campus from the first time I visited.
The range of modules is excellent and the content is so interesting. It’s a challenging course but it’s always enjoyable as the subject is so engaging. I particularly enjoyed the youth and society module as it have given me some very valuable knowledge that I can use in my future career.
The services are amazing and support is available whenever you need it. It’s easy to get advice with course issues, mental health, money or careers. The library is also fantastic – it’s the perfect place to study.
Middlesbrough is a great town with lots of things to do. The nightlife is great, there are plenty of places to eat and it’s extremely friendly and welcoming. I love Middlesbrough and I’m proud to be from here.
I’ve been a student ambassador since I started uni – it was one of the first things I did when I enrolled. It’s the best job I’ve ever had. It’s so enjoyable and it’s giving me so many brilliant working experiences. I’ve had the opportunity to work with primary and secondary school pupils, help with celebration events and work with some great brands including Burberry. I also worked at the University’s residential summer school.
My time management skills have really improved and I’ve grown so much in self-confidence. This will really help me when it comes to applying for graduate jobs.
My ambition is to complete my degree and furthering my education. I want to find a career that makes me happy and makes a positive difference to people’s lives.
I would 100% recommend Teesside University and also my course. Both have exceeded my expectations and I’m so pleased I chose to do my degree at this university.
Do it! Whether you’re from the area or not – there are so many opportunities here. It’s a great place to make friends, further your education and have a good time whilst doing so.
