How did you find out about Teesside?

I didn’t want to study in a big city as I know it can be expensive. After doing some research I discovered how great the Teesside region is, especially for my subject area. When I came to see the campus at Teesside, I was so impressed with all the facilities available.

Why Teesside?

Everything I was looking for in the course Teesside provided. I was able to have a chat with one of the lecturers Penny, and she was really welcoming and had a look at my portfolio. She noticed that I had a love for animation and character creation, and I was sold from that point.

How did university prepare you?

The great thing about studying at university is you are surrounded by people who all have different experiences. It was great being about to ask for other people’s experiences and get their advice on certain issues and projects. This helped me with my career as I was really confident in being able to speak to new people.

Ambition for the future?

I do have certain career ambitions, but as long as I’m working in the industry, I love I will be happy.

Favourite thing about studying at Teesside?

I was lucky to meet some great people who I am still friends with today. The friendly environment is really welcoming, and the campus atmosphere is great. It was lovely having people to get in with in both a professional and personal level.

Would you recommend Teesside?

Absolutely, especially the course I studied. The computer and character animation course is perfect and you learn all aspects of animation as well as learn from the best lecturers in the field.
