We offer a range of global mobility opportunities designed to broaden experience, build skills, and connect students with partners around the world. Working closely with our international network, we provide high-quality, flexible options for both outbound and incoming mobility.
Study abroad
Students spend a semester or full academic year at one of our partner universities. Studying abroad is a great way to experience a new culture, develop subject knowledge, and build valuable skills such as adaptability, communication and resilience.
Summer programmes
Students take part in a short-term international experience, typically one to four weeks, at a partner institution. These programmes are ideal if they want to gain global experience without committing to a full semester. Recent destinations include Brazil, Malaysia and France, offering a structured and supportive introduction to studying abroad.
International volunteering and internships
Our global partners also offer opportunities to volunteer or complete internships overseas. These experiences help build professional skills, gain sector insight, and make a meaningful contribution to communities or organisations around the world.
Study at Teesside
We welcome students from our partner institutions to join us for a semester or full academic year. They benefit from high-quality teaching, dedicated support and a vibrant campus experience, with a full programme of cultural and social activity.
Global Research Summer School
Each year, we host an international summer school, bringing together students from partner institutions for a four-week, research-led experience. Students work on projects across subject areas including business, psychology, design and engineering, while gaining insight into UK culture and collaborating across disciplines.
