03 February 2020

The first cohort of students from a successful international partnership have celebrated their graduation.

Teesside University launched a formal partnership with the Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) in 2015, accrediting a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Now the first cohort of students have celebrated their academic success, officially graduating at the turn of the year.

In total, 128 students achieved their qualifications from a wide range of courses, including Computing, Media and Communications and Cyber Security.

They were presented with their awards by Teesside University’s Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Paul Croney.

Teesside is an international university with a global network of partnerships, working with universities across Europe and beyond, including institutions in China, India and Malaysia.

We are continually working to engage with high-quality partners around the world.

The partnership with MDIS is one of two successful partnerships in Singapore.

Dr David Bell, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at Teesside University, said: 'Graduation is always a special time and it is fantastic to see so many students achieve their academic awards.

'We are continually working to engage with high-quality partners around the world and are committed to creating first-class global study opportunities.

'I am sure our partnership with MDIS will continue to go from strength to strength as we further develop our international reputation for excellence in teaching and learning.'
